MSI,

There was a funny moment at the National Press Club this afternoon during a Q & A session on journalists and the WMD story. Featured panelists were the devious little shill, Margaret Carlson of Time Magazine, Ambassador Joseph Wilson and an analyst from the Carnegie Endowment for Int'l. Peace.

In the questions, a retired CIA man stood up and chastised the media for being a weapon of mass distraction. He went on to say that if Don Rumsfeld was named Pinocchio, his nose would extend out the Pentagon, across the Potomac and into the building across the river. This was a good laugh line, but the come back from the panel was marvelous. One of the panelists (The smarmy Ms. Carlson, I believe), off screen, smirked and scoffed at the CIA man and said: "and that's why you'll never be a journalist!"

God bless America. We're butchering Iraqis, murdering our sons and we have a bimbo bitchette lambasting someone who has the gall to be interested in the truth. What a country!
