That's exactly why the nutty conspiracy theories of 9/11 don't hold water The opposite conclusion makes more sense: such "nutty" conspiracies are proven to exist, which have an absolute disregard for human life, on any scale. The difference with the Death Pool is that no attempt was made to hide it. And yet it still was advanced to the point where it was weeks away from being launched for worldwide use. Incredible. Have we heard any apologies from Poindexter? Do we expect Poindexter and minions to not have anything to do with the administration? Clearly, with the weak responses of "he'll be leaving DARPA", they will be around in other areas. This one incident isn't any exception to what goes on behind the scenes, its just one that was discovered by an alert senator's staff. There are no doubt many more horrors to be discovered by any investigation. It appears we clearly have an out of control gov't operating mostly behind closed doors.
