If you really are a DBA, as your profile suggests then you know that the entire IT industry which was the #1 area for job growth in the next decade, has been outsourced to 3rd world countries. A friend of mine is hiring DBAs to work at Gap Inc. for less then $40K/yr, these are americans. These jobs were $100K for almost the entire decade of the 90s. No recovery unless Bush turns around this jobs situation, which he cannot do.
