Have been listening to a series of lecture on tape (The Teaching Company, excellent stuff) on Plato, which has rekindled my interest in rereading the Dialogues, which I have started. The point being that Sugrue contends that while Plato may not have gotten all the answers right, he did get all the questions right and the approaches to answering them right. I hadn't read more than a few pages of him at a time in, oh, fifteen years. It's very interesting going back to him with the perspective of parenthood and legal training and a new array of other experiences I didn't have in college. I wish we had an active alumni chapter up here. I think I may be ready to truly benefit from the seminar process at last.
