Our Iraqi adventure is costing this country a fortune (that we don't have) AND we have only increased Anti-Americanism around the world. The states have been forced to increase taxes and cut services since the Bushies have not provided adequate funding to help with new security spending after 9/11 -- and we still ARE NOT spending enough on homeland security (according to many bi-partisan experts like Rudman and Hart). Why did we rush into war (using faulty intelligence) BEFORE we adequately secured our homeland...? Colonel Hackworth warned about the dangers of doing this last year...Bush and the NeoCONS failed to pay any attention - they had an election to win and had to keep the war on schedule. If the full truth about 9/11 and the campaign to invade Iraq ever came out then Bush (and Cheney) might be impeached...IMO, it would truly be a blessing if it happened.
