If someone does not have a job but can no longer receive or is not allowed to receive unemployment, is that person then counted as employed?
Prison population in the US is over 2 mil
US population is 290 mil.
That's 0.6%
If the govt. released unemployment figures next month showing a 0.6% increase, how many analysts, commentators or just about anybody would characterize that as "very few people"?
Of course a prisoner shouldn't be counted as an official unemployed person but it's a reality that nearly all prisoners will eventually be released...unemployed.
