Our companies will force us to be a more egalitarian world, by shipping our jobs off shore. I don't think workers in the Us will like it very much, but no doubt workers in other parts of the world will benefit. If you look at it from the perspective that good jobs will become more equitable distributed worldwide, I guess we could be happy. If you think about what it will do to workers here, the outlook is not quite as cheery. But it has been apparent to many people that the US life style was unsustainable once the rest of the world wanted a share of the pie- the US was simply taking too much of the pie before. Now the rest of the world is getting a share, more and more every year -due to the amoral, apatriotic multinational corporations, which will go where ever the profits can be maximized.
