What the vote indicates.

I actually read the Alliance policies, not an interpretation of them presented by the CBC. Here is the link canadianalliance.ca

The vote in Canada continues to reflect the limited appeal of the current Alliance policies in the minds of eastern Canadian voters. This will become even more apparent in the next Federal election, that is what I predict.

The Alliance policy on the position of Parliament in regards to ratifying the decisions of the Supreme Court (mob rule) is an issue. The point I was making with the court decision is one that applies to the current Prime Minister, who is a Catholic. As a Catholic, the Prime Minister may have beliefs which have no place in the exercise of his political duties. When questioned on his feelings about the the court ruling he said he had a responsibility to those he represented and his beliefs, though important, would not interfere.
