6 out of 9
or
Supreme Court Justices

Prime Minster Chretien has appointed 6 out of the 9 justices now serving on Canada's Supreme Court. The political process spans many years and the only reason that this high total has been reached is the length of Prime Minister Chretien's service.
It is very rare that one man has had such a broad impact on the Canadian Judicial system, and your point is correct, through the mandate given by the Canadian voters, Prime Minister Chretien has been able to shape the court through his appointments.

Here is the link to the Supreme Court of Canada website. Canada's current Chief Justice is The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C
