ROFL
only if we "contemplate" it the way you see it
you aren't thinking about how they got to be this way- they had to come from somewhere, so clearly they reproduced- up until the generation you are "contemplating". Your hypothetical is absurd. No species would simply stop propagating, because of the urge in those that carry young to carry them. Even homosexual animals would mate to become parents if it were absolutely necessary- that is simply the way species are. What you imagine, is a species that suddenly refuses to propagate. Well we CAN imagine that, but it is absurd, and it doesn't prove anything, except that you can imagine this very bizarre situation that has no precedent and that we have no evidence for. We know that very homosexual people have married and fathered or mothered children. We have evidence of that. We have no evidence that a situation like the one you "imagine" could ever or has ever existed. It proves nothing. I know you think it does, but it only confirms your own prejudices, nothing more.
