Double click on the little speaker icon in lower right corner of the screen, turn the volumes UP, & close the window.

That should work if there isn't anything really major wrong.

The easiest thing to miss is a loose sound connector where the speakers plug into the computer. If that's not it, try going to help and type in troubleshoot and go to sound. That will bring up a sound troubleshooter that will walk you through the steps to find the problem.
