I've been discounting the high short interest during the entirety of this bear market. It's not helped to watch it, IMO. The specialist short ratio is another matter, however.

I'd discount the high p/c on the day because we're into a a decent decline (prior to this we had low 3-5 day aves for some time) -- show me excess of 1 in the equity (only .68 today) Also show me vol premies -- some fear -- the darn things went down today straightaway after the open -- it's continuation time, IMO -- next move is up for the VIX while the market moves DOWN. I'm looking for the 200 dma on the vix -- ~29. Then we've had our bull scare and can rally into the end of the year ...
