Not a bad presentation by Sen Byrd, he got the essence of the present problems we seem to face Astonishing that he appears to propose some kind of action against N Korea and Iran if diplomacy does not work. Wants GWB to work overtime and figure the proper course in each case and then be stuck with the blame, while Congress, who will authorize any needed action, will pass the buck upstairs. The change is that he and hopefully the rest of Congress do now recognize that the US is threatened.by actions of other countries and something should be done about it . I guess that OBL's failed attempt to kill Congressmen causes them to take threats a bit more personally than does someone living in N Dakota. There were 70 wars going on in the late 1990s. and we weren't in any that I know of. Now we have had two and a potential for 2 more, which excludes Africa. Sig@whatsnext.com e
