so laura, who is your favorite candidate now? Assuming it isn't dubya I mean.

Texas employment numbers were terrible yesterday.

Does Mike Dell still support Bush? The SV guys pretty much dropped him. He is not popular here.

"As I am not interested in trading "my candidate is better than yours" sandbox insults for the next 18 months ...

I like the two party system. The Dem party has been substantially weakened over the past few years. It needs to regain some credibility if it is going to be a real contender in the 2004 elections. Time to kick the fogeys with their stokies out on their ears along with their obsolete 40 year old agendas (not happening at present). Look at the founding principles for the Democratic party and you will find a solid foundation for reform and revival.

It is not likely that comparing the personalities of current candidates will do squat in the upcoming elections. Contrasting the real and viable differences might. But like I said you have a problem with some entrenched old biddies and their stogie machinery squatting in the way. Maybe the libertarians can rise up and do something, if you all aren't willing.

Have Peace

You wrote:<font color=blue>"I've no idea how or why you have "faith" in George W. Bush."<font color=black>

I have faith in Bush because of his leadership skills. I voted for Gore in 2000 and usually vote Democrat. During the 2000 elections I was one of the most outspoken posters here against George Bush and posted many insults against him.

After 9/11 he showed that he was a strong leader and had vision. His quick actions against the Taliban and against Al Qaeda around the world was impressive. He took charge. If Gore had been in office I have no doubt that the Taliban and Al Qaeda would still rule Afghanistan, Saddam would still be spreading his evil in and outside of Iraq, and America would have been attacked again.

With Bush as our leader I am sure that the dangerous, evil regimes in Iran and North Korea will fall, and that this entire world will be a lot safer.

In 2004, I will split my ticket, but will definitely vote for one of the greatest Presidents we have ever had, George W. Bush!
