It's the housing market that is largely credited with keeping the economy afloat as much as it is which is not much. Credit the low interest rates for which people are refinancing. But mortgage rates have turned in the last two weeks and already building permits are down double digits. And yes, it is very difficult to get a reliable and qualified contractor. I wanted a new driveway installed all summer....the pavers are very independent and cavalier....

Actually..............I think there would be quite a large demand for the kind of service you mention. Everyone wants to be connected, and millions of older homes need to be wired for more modern systems. I hired a young guy to come in and do my house. He also comes in once every quarter and takes care of all computer maintenance and settings for me as well as downloading new programs. He updates other software, and purges my system of the stuff I don't need. In general he takes care of my system because I don't know or want to know how.

You might send some feelers out..........question everyone you know and try to get a feel for what kind of demand there is for the service. Make cold calls to remodel contractors and ask them what their clients needs are, if any, and where they go to get service.

You could very well find that there is a huge, un-met demand that you could keep busy filling for years.
