Unlike in the US (we see too many American films I guess) hospitals are not required to report gunshot ot stabbing wounds to police when a patient arrives for treatment so wounded.

Our Ontario justice minister (and Toronto police chief too) would like that to be changed. On the other hand our health minister Tony Clement doesn't think it is a good idea. He's concerned some of these victims might not seek treatment thereby putting their lives in jeopardy ..... HUH!

Like Red Rose Tea.... Only in Canada eh!
Besides such a law would likely face a charter challenge LOL..... sigh...
