Madison is as liberal a town as you'll every see. But fear not because the City is paying the price of its politics. There is what I call a "White flight" from Madison to the burbs. And yes - that means well paid white folks are turning their backs on the high taxes and liberal BS of this City and moving their tax dollars. Right now, Madison enjoys a great standard of living and probably will always enjoy a good one because of the UW and State Government. But - the days of greatness are slipping as we continue to lose quality taxpayers who made up the fabric of this community. Everyone here works for the public and they all want more. I say if you want more - work harder. If teachers want more - work full time - not 9 months. If Government wants more - work more efficiently. If profs want more - bring in the kind of money Barry Alverez does for our UW. If you can't do the above and aren't happy with your job - quit! But quit your bitchin' cause it falls on deaf ears with me. Its all Want want want but the quality of work continues to be that of GOVERNMENT QUALITY! Need I say more? I NEED!! GOVERNMENT QUALITY WORK SUCKS! GET A JOB!
