I suspect you are right. It's easy enough to breeze by people you don't want to read by using the Next 10 Messages feature. By saying "you are on ignore" they're really saying "na na na na na"

It really is the silliest thing! I guess perhaps the ignore people fear the loss of mastery over their impulse control. They might find themselves (against their will) responding to a post they did not wish to respond to! Apparently they also shackle their wrists to the bed-posts at night so they don't riffle their own pockets! <g> ;-)
