There is no fixed number of generational births that we have to hold on to, so minor traits affecting the rate of childbirth are not worth examining. But it does matter if we manage replacement or better, or dwindle into extinction. The existence of homosexuals does not affect that, but if it were dominant, it would. I am sorry you are having a hard time grasping the argument.

All other things being equal, yes, an incapacity to bear children is an inferior situation. It does not bear on one's character, just one's physical capacity, but it is rather like not being able to walk or run, an inherently undesirable condition.

I would not even press the idea that homosexuality is undesirable, just that it is less desirable than heterosexuality. If society wishes to signal an affirmation of heterosexuality as the norm, I think it is within its rights.
