MANY deaf people are angry about other deaf people who would get a cochlear implant. There are so many deaf people who feel that way, I questioned your use of the word "most". That is all. You may not know any handicapped people who do not consider themselves afflicted- but there are many who do not think of themselves that way. I would not even want to guess what percentage of the various communities of people with special needs consider themselves "afflicted". And that's probably something best not guessed at by people not in the special needs community. imo
