Simply stating what one is "capabable of" is not pompous. Show us what jakie thinks is pompous. jakie, you have a problem of oversimplification. You don't grasp the two sided nature of things and have virtually no ability to see recursive symmetry. This type of thinking can be learned. But it requires unlearning oversimplification. That is a most difficult task. And your emotional temperment suggests it may be an impossible task for you. You want to call that pompous, that's your handicap.
