I cannot be dispassionate. If my brother could walk by means of a operation, and was under pressure because he was considered a traitor to the wheelchair bound community, I would be terribly angry. The premise is crap. Obviously it is better to be in full possession of your faculties, and no one should be blamed for wanting it.........

I disagree with their opinion but if they want to remain deaf when an implant would work that is their own business.

However if they get all obnoxious to the people who do get implants because they consider them traitors to the deaf community or anything like that then they are being jerks.
