And I'm not claiming to understand the legal system. In fact I'd have to say many of the lawyers around here (and a few personal matters) have opened my eyes as to just how f*cked up the process is. To a joe average dude like me it makes me wonder if TRUTH is the ultimate goal. I can see withholding info in some cases so that a circus atmosphere doesn't take place. But, then I see a Sh!tbag like OJ Simpson benefit from withholding information and it makes me wonder. Truth should be the goal. Instead it seems like the process of debate has become more important....I don't get it and probably never will

the rules of evidence keep a lot of "relevant" information from juries across the board.
Why do YOU PEOPLE [ :-) ] do this? If I tell you only 1/4 of the truth, do you think I have given you a reasonable chance of coming to a correct conclusion, or are you more likely to think I lied to you?
