Now you're being arrogant over nothing.

I am as arrogant as you are presumptuous...

Iraq: You: We lost!
No, we lied, we alienated strong traditional allies, and we have a mess on our hands. We have not been greeted as liberators, and we lose soldiers everyday, with little end in sight...oh, and just as an aside, there don't seemt to be WMDs there.

You: Only the rich got tax cuts!

You forgot the resulting deficit is now being predicted at $700B.

Me: Values and strong moral principles, founded by a theistic background and precedented by American historical documents.
You: Religion doesn't belong in politics!

How does taking the country to war on a stack of lies square with the moral principles you refer to. What would God say about dead innocents on presumption of guilt?

And, no, I am not the one saying that Religion does not belong in politics....the constitution says that.

You: We lost in Afghanistan!

No, we have not followed through in Afghanistan. We're too busy chasing oil...ahem, I mean WMDs in Iraq. I guess the Afghans don't rate American democracy.

You: But North Korea has nukes!

Probably not...but boy, they sure don't fit bush's model of pre-emption.

You: That money isn't going to good use!

If that money is actually paid out, it is going to good use. I hear the (Rep) congress is not releasing it.

You failed to address the Environment, the Economy, loss of 2M jobs, foreign relations, the loss of domestic freedoms, and the amazing overall collateral damage of the last 2 years of the bush adminstration.

Al

If only it were as simple and as straightforward as you make it.

Me: Iraq war, which kicked out a dictatorship and ensured he won't threaten anyone with WMD again. America didn't run with its "tail between its legs," nor has a "million Mogudishus" happened, despite the predictions and wishes of Scott Ritter and Prof. De Genova.

You: Spinning in order to cover the fact that you went into war not on the facts but because it was your vision........a cowboy's vision at that.

You: We lost! He never had WMD in the first place! (Oh, and Clinton was a big liar anyway.) Besides, Iraqis don't want a democracy! They prefer to be oppressed, raped, and tortured by Uday and Qusay than to be an American colony!

Me: P*ssed as hell because my gov't has spent billions on a war that my kids will have to pay for and knowing that OBL, our real enemy, just got thousands of new recruits without an ad placed.

Worse.............we look like a cross betweens fools and despots by others in the world.

So please don't try to make this a partisan thingy! Bush is the worst president to hit the WH in years and is a threat to this nation's well being. Those are the facts and they become clearer with each passing day!
