Yes and rumsfield wants to cut it down some more. He thinks he can depend up high tech and get rid of a division. You would think that what has happened in Iraq would have opened his eyes..... takes more than high tech to win a war.

Basically, our generals who dared to speak, stated we could use some more troops. rumsfield had already been saying no we didn't, so he would have lost face if we sent more over there. Remember, during the blitz to Baghdad, we did not hold the territory we went through.... just waved at the struggling Iraqi army and let them keep their weapons. These are the same guys who we are now fighting......

Mr. Watson, re: >>"This is using the cut down mr. bill military."<<

You keep coming back to this Watson. In your haste to place responsibility on the president that preceded Bush, however, I offer this point to ponder:

My dear Mr. Watson, it's elementary that PRESIDENT WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON clearly did not contemplate that we would need a military of sufficient size to concurrently attack other nations, threaten preemptive strikes across the globe and police much of the world. Very few sane thinkers saw that kind of wildly aggressive military policy as a possibility. As a result President Bush has to work with the handicap of having the strongest military in the world by a factor of at least 10, and being the only superpower. I guess you could say that his hands weren't too badly tied.

Quit whining.
