How do you respond to the recent polls that show Palestinians don't wish to return.

If you want to be intellectually honest, each and every statement you made can be turned around and stated exactly the same from the other's perspective.

The victims to me are those who suffer at the hand of the terrorist suicide bombers. But yes, I would agree if you wanted to say that the entire area is composed of victims.

As for Arafat, it is widely reported even within the Arab press that he has stolen from his own people. Who knows? It may not be Arafat who has the cars and booty but those who are close.

The bottom line is this - You seem to post only stuff that is critical of the Israeli regime. That's your right to do that. The only way there will be peace is if both sides realize the wishes of their respective peoples. There is enough to argue on both sides when speaking of injustice. When one is talking survival, it's easy to sit behind a computer and pontificate.

Both peoples want peace. I don't believe the Arab leaders really want peace and you don't believe that Sharon wants peace. I do believe that Abbas wants peace and that most of Israel's people want peace. I'd like to find a way to have peace that would take it out of the hands of leaders who don't see a benefit to an end to hostilities.

How do we do that? The Israelis are never going to leave, nor should they. The Palestinians want a homeland somewhere, the most logical being the West Bank and Gaza given the current circumstance. Jerusalem can be a demilitarized city and capitol of both nations, with an international police force. Jews who lost their lands in Arab nations would be compensated as would Arabs who were forced to relocate. Some sort of manageable formula could be worked out. No more settlements. No more armed militias threatening Israel. Compensate settlers to move or negotiate with Palestininian officials protections if they are to remain.
