I don't think Tampa gets that much more heat in the summer than we get up here. The sun crosses directly overhead twice a lot quicker than down there.

Then again in January, if you pick your nose you aren't picking snow or ice out of it like up here.

We've had heat indexes of 115 and chill factors of -30 within 6 months of each other. That's a range of 145 degrees. Not much time to get used to either.

Lived there for 9 months starting in August... worked at McDill... lived on Treasure Island on the beach!
