I am sorry, that is like saying I am not allowed to be anti- fascist because the Stalinists were, or anti- Communist because Hitler was. It is like saying that because soccer hooligans start riots in support of their teams, no one is allowed to root for a team. In fact, if you want to see gay bashing increase, go ahead and legalize gay marriage. Retaliation will be a direct result, in some quarters. Does that mean that those supporting gay marriage will be to blame?

For most people, and on the broad political landscape, yer either fer us or agin us. Good grief yourself. That you would ever give that notion credence by using it to support one of your arguments boggles. I can't imagine where you got that idea. All I'm saying is that the message that gay is deviant and inferior is fodder for those who would. So we should steer our beliefs and our moral sense so as not to give encouragement to the ignorant and thoughtless? Come, now, Karen.
