Jack of All Trades, Please confirm the QCharts build you are running. I haven't seen, personally, a chart timeframe change to Tick as a result of a symbol timeout, but am not saying that couldn't happen. If you'd like, send a workspace to check.

By the way, we'll find a way to make charts re-request timed-out symbols; that should fix most blank charts.
