I read that same article I think, about the illegal immigrants, and all I see here are LEGAL immigrants, way too many people until 2001 or so, which caused many to leave. The N and S of the state are 2 different worlds, maybe the mexifornia issue is down there, here we have Indifornia. It got so crowded it was unpleasant to live here. Getting better now, again but unless the tech business climate picks up nobody will come here. So I would say there is more to people leaving than laws, at least now.
