The US occupation has turned Iraq into the best recruiting ground for Al Qaeda on the planet. It would be hard to believe that they are not taking advantage of it.

But the choice of targets is interesting. You would think that Al Qaeda would target something more Western. Sure the Jordanian government isn't a big favorite of Al Qaeda, but they're hardly their worst enemy.

I wonder what group is going to be pinned with the deed. Since no one has yet taken responsibility for it, my guess is Al Qaeda, but it just doesn't seem to fit their usual modus operandi.

Maybe Al Qaeda is trying to destabilize the other Arab governments in the Middle East so that their countries will be good breeding grounds for more Al Qaeda.
