"supposedly innocent" That's Scott's MO. If that were true then he would post links from sites presenting more than one sided, extremist, mendacious & calumnious POV's. If it was true about Scott's "supposedly innocent" postings, then his real views, in his own words, when posted on SI would not be in lock step with these "supposedly innocent" links & articles. The truth is that Scott posts links to vile, extremist, hate mongering stuff on SI because it is in line with his personal views as his own words in his own posts clearly indicate. It's been this way for more than 2 years now, so the evidence is overwhelming. IMO, if it's OK for him to post in this manner, it's OK to call it what it really is.
