Fairly sizeable move in the SPX shorts by the commercials....looks like they favor down (especially since the move occurred AFTER a big down move had commenced in the average). The gold short covering is encouraging, but they still have a huge short position (silver is immense as well). FWIW, keep in mind that the treasury auctions that roiled the markets this week will now be occurring EVERY MONTH due to the humongous deficit we're running. That should continue to pressure all fixed income areas for the forseeable future. The bulls may have survived this week, but it's just starting..... Be Bold, Stay Sold....Got Gold?
