Prior to Al Gore's initiative, the interconnected computer systems (known as Darpanet) was limited to defense contractors and educational institutions. It would not have been the commercial internet as we know it without changes in regulations pioneered by Congressman Al Gore.

Al gore did not do squat in anything having to do with the creation of the internet. It's an insulting lie to all who did the work to create the internet.

The statement is a treason likely character identification event. It was a very high form of intellectual dishonesty.
