Funny you should ask about AMAT.......been holding it quite a while, and I was concerned by today's action......but not because of the triple top you point out, and not for any EW reasons (in general- although I hang out here since IMHO it's the only useful thread on SI - EW IS a puzzle to me.....g) Although having nothing to do with your question - hope you don't mind if I digress a bit and tell you about my concern today......Based on regular old TA, what struck me checking my DAILY charts after the close was the potential H&S top which could be shaping up here.... .Left shoulder in mid July, on heaviest volume in months..........your triple top in late July, forming a head, with the requisite lower volume.......and a possible neckline at today's low and that of July 18......A rally here, on yet again lower volume, and failing to make a new high, would wave a red flag and measure - if a H&S is completed - down to around 15/15 1/4.
