IMO it was not that it was a bad call because everybody makes bad calls. It was just how much of a prick that he was and the manner in which he stated his opinion.

Fillmore:

I don't believe you have a right to chastise Slider for his calls on gold. The facts of the matter are as follows:

1-I never saw you on the thread providing your opinion before the initial appreciation of PMs began.

2-The fast and easy money was that made on 5, 10, and more baggers in a year or less.

3-Gold and gold stocks pretty much were stagnant for an extended period or even depreciating meaning dead or lost money or other missed opportunities.

4-A lot of 5 and 10 baggers were made playing biotechs this spring as compared to relatively soft returns on gold.

Sliders portrayal of "fast and easy" was exactly correct.

Though I do have physical holdings of gold and silver (for reasons that do not merely include appreciation) I have found no need to continue playing PM's when better opportunities presented themselves that were "fast and easy" money.

Currently 90% cash looking for the next "fast and easy" money.

On the other hand, I do give you a thumbs up on the shrub.

P.S. From an investing point of view I just checked your profile and saw no evidence of any type of reco regarding the markets. The only reference I could find was that you appeared to be worrying about golds performance back over 3 months ago.

It seems you hang out on SI to provide entertainment for yourself publicizing your political views and have provided little or no insight into the markets.

Maybe you want to prove how much better you are than he is?

Why don't you publish your picks like Slider did if you are such a hotshot?
