Will the US wake up to see what's going on?

Not as long as they keep watching the government news.

"I cannot imagine that Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith, family of four, want Exxon and Halliburton to control every aspect of their lives."

Too late. It happened the day America became dependent on gasoline and diesel powered engines and petroleum based products. You can't change that. Grow up. You're obviously some spoiled college brat with no real world experience outside of your summer jobs hunting "eco terrorists" for Greenpeace.

I'm not okay with Dick Cheney sentencing me to death by insurance starvation. Or income starvation.

Go spend some time in a country like Ethiopia or Bangladesh and then come back and complain about starvation.
