I got an email from Feinsteins office, and she was in town recently fielding something of a heated debate about this. I could be wrong, but I certainly got the impression that she is driving these out of the state, which means they are gone nationally. We're in trouble in this state with tax receipts and these visas are clearly replacing americans and (worse I'm sure from congress's perspective) they structure these immigrant workers so they are paid in india so no taxes are paid while they stay here. A big scam, and everybody knows it so these things are toast I believe. It won't fix the outsourcing but its a start.

"Four years ago . . . I had CEOs come to me and tell me they need more H-1B visas, and I bought the argument," Feinstein said in a hearing Tuesday by the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security.
