Because if they did a simple Factiva or Nexis search, they'd have found that the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Boston Herald (a colleague; not I) reported extensively on the document a week ago. We went so far as to obtain an independent translation and run an image of the document in the Herald. Sure CBS "uncovered" (their word) the document By that standard, I could "uncover" the Pentagon Papers tomorrow. And people wonder why we print guys get cranky. poynter.org
