xcr600,

Re: think the body count out of Iraq is legit? I realize the numbers are bogus for Iraqi's killed, but how about GI's?

The Pentagon is using classic PR techniques to downplay the G.I. casualties. The media headlines invariably cite "killed in action" figures as casualties, and disregard the much larger numbers of total dead and injured/wounded soldiers.

Here's a link (one that I trust) with some useful resources:

I am a black sheep Texan who grew up there, left and doesn't think Texas is the biggest or best anything, especially as a place to live. But I am happy for the Texans who do, they have found their place under the sun. Rah rah and all that.

Iraq - you can't fudge US GI body counts without some very messy consequences later. Even the Pentagon isn't that stupid - look what happened when they just tried to embellish the Jessica Lynch story.
