The five masked men shown on the tape, which was broadcast by Dubai-based Al Arabiya television, said they belonged to the White Flags, Muslim Youth and Army of Mohammad organizations. "We want to tell other organizations that guerrilla warfare is the only way to free the country and we want to say that foreign troops who were sent here must be attacked to prove to the world that we are against occupation," said one of the men. "We warn countries of the world, and for the last time, not to send troops into Iraq," the speaker said in the video tape which was dated August 9. The five men, seated in a row on the floor against a wall, were holding black grenade launchers and their faces were wrapped in traditional checked Arab head-dresses. They criticized as an "act of sabotage" the attack on the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad on Thursday which killed at least 17 people and wounded more than 60. "As for the bombing at the Jordanian embassy, it was an act of sabotage carried out by some spies and traitors who want to harm the resistance against occupation," said the speaker, who was reading from a statement. He did not elaborate. Iraq's U.S. governor Paul Bremer said on Saturday there were no firm suspects in the bombing of the Jordanian embassy but that Islamists linked to al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein loyalists were all under suspicion. Many groups -- some saying they are Saddam loyalists and one claiming links to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda group -- have claimed responsibility for attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq. At least 55 U.S. soldiers have been killed by hostile fire since President Bush declared the end of major combat in Iraq on May 1. The embassy blast came a week after Jordan granted asylum to ousted Saddam's elder daughters, angering some Iraqis. Many supporters of Saddam are also hostile toward Amman for cooperating with Washington during the war, and Muslim militants have scores to settle with Jordanian security services for helping their Western and Saudi counterparts to pursue al Qaeda. The speaker in the videotape blasted Arab states which supported the war as traitors and as "Arabs who have become Jews," but did not name any countries. "Let us kill the spies and traitors for the sake of freeing Iraq," he added. He said the White Flags, Muslim Youth and Army of Mohammad organizations were present in Falluja, Baghdad and Baquba and had carried out "successful" operations against occupying forces in August.
