<Had they been removed while Saddam remained in power, he would have moved against his neighbors again.> The presence of our troops destabilizes the region. It is no coincidence that 9/11 was a Saudi-led operation (I am taking about Saudi nationals, not the Saudi government). Our troops in Saudi Arabia posed a large threat to Saudi Arabia's national security and political stability. We wanted troops there because we want power in the region and now we can station our troops in Iraq instead. There is nothing to indicate that our troops were essential at this time to protecting Saudi Arabia. Saddam's military was in shambles.

What colour are the marbles ?

This is interesting, Frank Gaffney Jr. is claiming that the current administration has made the most prudent use possible of intelligence. His marble bag contains only white marbles. He also claims that a judge personally believes that Iraq and Al Qaeda are intimately linked.

Americans and Britons who might be interested in doing some DD, here are the links about the intelligence use in the exhortations for war.

The marble principle : Here is a sock of marbles, all the marbles are either all white or all black or a mixture of white and black. How many marbles must you pull out to prove that the sock contains both white and black marbles, all the marbles ?
