Soros, as has been posted elsewhere, escaped from Nazi oppression, knows what totalitarianism is all about, and studied under Karl Popper who wrote during Hitler's reign a book called "Open Society", in which he destroyed the fascist totalitarian ideas promulgated by Mousellini, Hitler and others. Fast forward several decades, Soros never forgot what he had seen, and has become wealthy enough to do something about it. What is needed is openness in government to correct the vicious downward spiral into Armaggeddon.
