I'm glad they have a homeland that goes back to the Old Testament plus they are under the aegis of the US. Well, I'll give the Israelis, as a people, as much support as they display in seeking peaceful co-existence with their Arab neighbors. But I do not go so far as believing that the Israeli government would tell the US to screw off and die, if they thought our interests didn't coincide. The only thing that maintains my support for Israel is their continued willingness to remain a democratic society. Lose that and they're no different than their Arab neighbors, and then I could say "a pox on both of their houses". Hawk
