This is the big danger for nationalists: they never know when to stop.

Yep.. nationalism, once achieved, normally translates into imperialism.. It's a natural transition since to achieve that nationalism, you unify the various groups with something that unifies them.. Something that makes then unique and special..

And that "uniqueness" can easily translate into superiority complexes..

And somewhere within all of this, are the power elites who enjoy tremendous increases in power and profit by manipulating the emotions and aspirations of the masses. And to maintain that power, they have to continue to manipulate those emotions..

The obvious place to stop, is when you reach the natural frontiers, the demographic frontier.

Hmm... how do you define "natural frontiers"? After all, France is 3% muslim right now.. Does that qualify?

And what about these other nations where the percentage of muslims is even greater? How about Austria where 15% of the population is muslim? Is that a now a "natural frontier"??

Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if I saw more religious diversity within Arab cultures. But it seems that once conquered by an Islamic nation, other religions eventually are so marginalized and oppressed, that they are often disappear, or become irrelevant..

Israel, today, rules 10 million people, only half of whom are Jews.

That's false.. 20% of Israel is non-Jewish. And the total population is some 6 million people.

Those "Palestinians" living on the West Bank and Gaza is ruled by the Palestinian Authority, primarily in urban areas with high population density. They haven't been ruled by the Israelis since the creation of the PA.
