in favors, the Bush Administration wasn't giving any.


They were the biggest single donor to the Bush campaign.

Karl Rove and other Bush operatives were at Enron constantly. There's a lot more to that story than has been released, judging by the Enron'ers in high places in the administration.

The Cheney/Enron meetings were many, and have been kept secret, some say due to the direct line to Enron's extortion in energy trading. As we saw, it not only generated billions in profits to anonymous offshore accounts, it had massive political effects as well.
