Spare me the sanctimonious lecture. Iraq is a mess, and predictably so. To claim that anyone has an obligation to "respect the majority" and ignore that is inane and ridiculous.

Aside from which, the civilian DoD hotheads who wanted this war so very badly haven't exactly shown a great deal of respect for the uniformed military leadership either. You like those guys, that's your business, but if you think you're going to convince anybody with your supercilious sanctimony, I think you're mistaken.

As far as "hope to terrorists", the main problem is that Iraq, by all indications, had nothing to do with terrorism, except in W's fevered propaganda efforts. Again, if you like that garbage, that's your business, but conventional good citizenship is usually considered to require somewhat greater awareness of political posturing in the guise of "patriotism".
