Cash is ultimately King in a Secular Bear Market. I have not owned a high tech stock since October 2000. So, my portfolio won't be falling if the major indices tank. And I have done very little trading outside of buying gold mining stocks on big dips. What you see in my SI profile is up to date.

September is traditionally the best month to be invested in Gold and Gold mining stocks. I don't know why. I just know that has been the case, historically speaking, over the past 50 years, 80% of the time.

My primary concern in a secular bear market is to preserve my capital.
