Yep, and it would have been in the "UN's name" that we invaded Iraq this time, after GWB "took the time" to go to the UN and spend six months bartering. But, like Kosovo, the vested interests of other powers on the UNSC made it impossible to get a concensus without a veto. So we went around the UN. You seem perfectly capable of recognizing that the US acts out of self-interested motives in the UN, but totally incapable of recognizing the same motives in the other members. It seems to be a fatal blindness.
