KC, are you aware that the lands they were on after the Balfour Declaration (1917) included present-day Israel, all the occupied territories including the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan, and Jordan as well? The Brits gave away the Golan to Syria and Jordan to the Hashemites as a consolation prize for losing the Hijaz. Then the UN took away half the remainder in 1947 partition. The Jews accepted it, the Arabs didn't.

They had a choice of places to go,( Uganda )but chose Palistine,knowing full well that they would not be welcomed there

They were welcomed for a long time. They paid good money for every piece of land they settled on. The land owners made a fortune.
